ABOUT FRETTE BEDDING

History

Frette (pronounced fret-AY) has been the leader in the international luxury bed, bath, and home furnishings industry for 160 years. The brand was founded in 1860 with the original retail shop in Milan, Italy. They are known for the impeccable quality of their bedding, their exquisite craftsmanship, and the luxurious feel of their sheet sets.

Frette is not only revolutionary in terms of craft, but also in distribution. In 1886, they became one of the first brands to launch a catalog that allowed them to sell luxury linens beyond Italy.

As one of the best brands in luxury bedding, Frette's resume matches their quality. More than 500 European royal families have slept on Frette sheets, and the brand has been the Official Purveyor of linens for the Italian Royal Family since 1881. Frette linens have graced St. Peter's Basilica in Rome as well as dressed the beds of the world's most illustrious ocean liners and trains, including the Titanic and the Orient Express.

Today, Frette bedding can be found in more than 1,000 luxury hotels around the world including The Plaza in New York, The Ritz-Carlton in Paris, The Savoy in London, The Royal Danieli Hotel in Venice, and The Peninsula in Hong Kong.

Materials and Quality

Frette was described by Forbes as having "some of the most beautiful home products in the world." From the beginning, it has been all about beauty and quality. Frette's range of bath, table, and bed linens is unmatched,

Frette uses the finest raw materials available. This means long-staple cotton from Egypt, silk from Asia, Merino Wool from the Mediterranean coast, and cashmere sourced exclusively from the Hyrcus goat.

Frette's fabrics are made in Como, Italy, the city considered to be the center of the luxury textile industry. Their weaving mill also produces fabrics for top clothing designers, reflecting the brand's connection to fashion. The combination of fine fibers and skilled Italian artisans produces a chic look and an inimitable feel.

Frette sheets are the best on the market. Their superior quality means they are long-lasting and absolutely worth the price tag.

"The ultimate experience... is really what Frette is about, it's creating an experience when you sleep, when you walk into your bedroom, the way you feel after your bath... that really says to you 'this is the way I want to feel for the rest of my life'"

Laurence Franklin, Chief Executive Officer, Frette

Frette Sheets: Linens of Luxury Egyptian Cotton

Frette's cotton sheets feel like sleeping on a cloud.

Percale sheets like the Frette Hotel Classic Sheet Set are crisp and cool with a matte finish. They are made of 100% Cotton Percale with 100% Cotton Embroidery. The thread count of Frette lux percale bedding is between 200-240.

Sateen sheets like the Frette Single Ajour Sheets are silky smooth with a shimmery finish. Their satiny feel comes from their composition of 100% ELS cotton sateen. Frette Sateen sheeting has a 300 to 500 thread count.

Frette sheets are available in king sheet sets, queen sheet sets, California king sheet sets, standard pillowcases, and king pillowcases. Frette sheet sets include a Frette fitted sheet, a Frette flat sheet, and two Frette pillowcases.

Frette Bedding: Luxurious Designer Bed Linens

Frette's bedding is elegant and timeless. Additionally, all of their styles are sold with coordinated sheet sets, so you can build a bed with an elevated matched look.

Available Frette bed linens include king duvet covers, queen duvet covers, standard shams, king shams, euro shams and boudoir shams.

One of the most popular and newest looks in the Frette linens collection is the Frette Links Embroidery Bedding (pictured to the right). The Links Embroidery pattern was reengineered in 2017 to create this modern, essentially Frette iconography. The elegant dual-tone chain design is embroidered on long-staple cotton sateen sheeting. A jacquard Frette coverlet like the Cavalry Milk Bedspread folded at the end of the bed over the comforter offers a sophisticated touch.

Frette's Gorgeous Cashmere and Wool Throw Blankets

In addition to making the best Italian sheets, Frette also makes luxury throw blankets.

Frette cashmere is harvested from the Hyrcus goat in the mountainous regions of Asia and then spun and woven in Italy. It is exceptionally soft in the form of 100% cashmere throws.

Frette wool is 100% Merino wool collected in the Mediterranean Coastal area. This part of the world is known for having the ideal climate to produce high-quality wool. Only the best for Frette and for your home!

The Fig Linens and Home team absolutely loves the Frette Chains Throw Blanket and its stand-out chain-link detail.
